About Our Agency
Davis Insurance Group Llc was established in September 2007 by Lloyd and Janet Davis of Statesville, NC. They purchased the Brooke Insurance Agency location at 1475 Highland Ave NE, Hickory, NC in November 2007. The agency had been a Brooke Franchise location since 2004 and was a part of the Target Insurance Group since the early 90’s. The name was changed to Davis Insurance Group, Llc officially in October 2008. Many policyholders that originally began with the Target Insurance Group remain policyholders today.
Lloyd Davis managed Triangle Insurance Agency of Mooresville before purchasing his current agency. He served the community of Mooresville from 1999 until 2007 providing property and casualty insurance through that independent agency. He also was in the life and health insurance field for several years prior to becoming a property and casualty agent. Originally from northern New York, near the Canadian border, the family moved to Mooresville, NC in 1996 and to Statesville, NC in 2006. He has been happily married to his wife for 45 years and she now shares in the duties of the agency.
Janet Davis began working in the agency in January 2008 and is now a licensed property and casualty agent also. The couple have three sons Gregg, Scott and Bradd ages 44, 41 and 38 respectively. They are blessed with daughter-in-laws, Crystal, Holly, Laura and eight grandchildren, Jacob, Blake, Hailey, Hanna, Addison, Brooklyn, Skylar and Jack. Jacob is now a licensed agent and has been with the agency since 2020.
Davis Insurance Group, LLC purchased the Carolina Insurance agency located at 1138 Lenoir Rhyne Blvd SE, Hickory, NC 28602 on December 1, 2013. At that time we merged the Highland Ave office into that new location where we are located today.
In June of 2017, we became a member of the Nationwide Insurance Group. We welcome the clients of The Needham Group, formerly located at 1062 Lenoir Rhyne Blvd SE, Hickory, NC 28602. That office has been merged into our current location.
We are an independent insurance agency representing many quality companies. We will work with our policyholders and prospective policyholders to get the best value and satisfy their insurance needs. We understand these tough economic times and if we can save our clients money, we will strive to do so.
